When your teen struggles with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and other mental health challenges, it affects their whole life. The bright and happy kid you once knew is now argumentative, easily upset, withdrawn, and moody.

You worry about them and just want to help, but you're not always sure about what to say or do.  You know they need skills to cope with their emotions, so they can successfully deal with whatever comes their way.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based program that helps teens

  • Develop strategies to cope with life's difficulties so that they are less likely to overreact, self harm, or shut down when life throws them a curveball

  • Become aware of their emotions so they no longer go "from 0 to 100" when faced with difficult feelings

  • Develop a personalized self-care plan to use in place of probematic behaviors

  • Communicate effectively and build meaningful connections with friends and family that foster healthy self esteem

  • Learn mindfulness skills to cope in ways that lead to feeling calm and connected
