About Me

I believe that food and weight do not have to take up all of your time and energy. You were meant for better things.

I believe that you are so much more than the number on the scale.

I believe in your recovery.

Most of all, I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and in the power of our sacred work together.

People with eating disorders come from all walks of life. I have experience treating women, men, and even children with Binge Eating Disorder, Anorexia, Bulimia, Orthorexia, compulsive exercise and body image issues. Eating disorders are complex mental health conditions that require expert care.

I understand that eating disorders are not just about the food and the way you feel about your body. The people I work with also struggle with issues related to anxiety, feeling depressed or empty, issues with family, wishing to have more friends or a romantic relationship (and not knowing where to start), feeling frustrated at work, perfectionism/people pleasing, and generally feeling stuck in life.

In addition to being in private practice for 9 years, my experience includes:

Center For Discovery, Paramus, NJ - Program Director

Dominican College, Orangeburg, NY - Adjunct Professor,  SW251: Topics in Social Work: Eating Disorders and SW254: Play Therapy

Rockland Jewish Family Service, West Nyack, NY - Director and Co-Founder, Eating Disorders Outpatient Program

Rockland Eating Disorders Task Force, Co-Founder and Chairperson

The Renfrew Center, Old Greenwich, Connecticut - Therapist and Team Leader, Partial Hospitalization Program serving women with eating disorders and related mental health conditions

North Rockland School District - Counselor, Student Assistance Program providing substance abuse counseling and prevention programming to the student body

The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut - Multidimensional Family Therapy program serving adolescents engaging in substance abuse, truancy, academic under achievement, and risky behaviors. Child Therapist utilizing play therapy with child survivors of trauma

Even if you're not ready to work with me yet, I invite you to be in touch with me. I look forward to getting to know you!
